State and JV State
State Championships will be held on Tuesday this week and Salt Lake Regional Sports Complex (2280 N. Rose Park Lane).
Our girls will be racing at 3:30 pm and our boys at 4:30 pm
The bus will leave JHS at 1:45 pm. There will be an entrance fee but those running or who come to support on the bus will be covered by the coaches.
For State if you're coming to support there is a parking pass. Please buy this ahead of time so traffic will not be held up.
Parking Spectators will be charged for parking to enter the venue. Fans will not be able to enter the venue without parking in the facility. Vehicles with two-or-less individuals inside the car will be charged $10; vehicles with three-or-more individuals will be charged $20. RV’s and other oversize vehicles will be charged at $40, due to the use of multiple parking spots. Vehicles will be issued wristbands at the entrance gates for the corresponding numbers of individuals inside the vehicle. Parking passes can be purchased on the UHSAA GoFan online ticket portal at https://gofan.co/app/school/UHSAA or purchased at the gate. A convenience credit card fee will be charged as part of the purchase. There will be no cash option for purchase. It is advised for everyone to pre-purchase parking passes to allow for faster parking and entrance into the facility.
Supporters please read this warning about assistance to competitors.
Assistance to Competitors Coaches, please educate the members of your team, their parents and others that will come to support your student athletes that per rule 9-7-4 it is a disqualification for a competitor who receives any assistance from another person. The most common form of the violation of this rule is when a non-competitor runs along side a competitor during the race (pacing). This has been a problem in the past. It would be unfortunate to have to disqualify a runner for the actions of someone not in the race. Please help by informing those who will be there to support your team. Also, any runner who assists another runner will also be disqualified.
JV State Championship is being held on Saturday October 29th at the Spanish Fork Sports Complex.
ALL JV and Varsity runners are expected to come to State and JV state to either run or support!
It is going to be cooler than we have been use to so come prepared with warm clothing and make sure before your race to get a good warm up!
We are planning on doing an end of season banquet either the 2nd or 3rd week in November. Keep posted on this!
