Summer Week 10 (August 5th- August 10th)
We have had quite the busy week for Jordan Cross Country! Thank you so much for all the parent support and help we had this weekend at the race. It was a great event! Also, so grateful for our athletes! With their help we were able to set/clean up the course easily and they were all great at camp!
This week in technically the last week of summer training, and our season starts with the first race on the 10th. Here are the steps for eligibility.
First you'll need to update/make an account on registermyathlete.com and follow all steps.
Hopefully many have already gotten your physical. CLICK HERE for the paperwork that needs to be filled out, signed and uploaded to registermyathlete.
Next parent and athlete needs to read and sign our team disclosure.

Lastly fees will need to be paid ($100 participation fee, spirit pack fee for what you ordered and uniform fee if needed).
If you need a uniform talk to Coach Shaw this week.
Please do not worry about fees quite yet. Many are still finalizing their fundraising.
When fundraising is turned in I will submit what fees will be on skyward to our secretary and let you know when they're online.
If you haven't done the runathon yet please talk to Coach Shaw on Monday.
If you have done the runathon please collect pledges and take the money to the main office. The office will give you a receipt.
Give Coach Shaw the receipt and the runathon sheet with your pledgers and amount donated. The runathon sheet and receipt should match.
This needs to be done by Friday August 9th by midnight!
Afternoon practice has officially started to prepare for the summer heat and Coach Shaw has gone back to work at the school.
Thursday August 8th there is a mandatory parent/athlete meeting for all fall sports parents at 6:00pm in the auditorium. Our athletic director will go over items such as registermyathlete, fees and parental expectations, etc...
We will then meet afterwards in the media center to go over any last cross country season information.
I know many of you are out of town and that is ok, I'll send a link out to cover some of the information will go over.
With our first race being this Saturday if you will be out of town, please let Coach Shaw know so we can know who to sign up for the race.

Monday- Meet at JHS west side of tennis courts (by the group of 3 trees) @ 3:00 pm
Tuesday- Shields Lane Park @ 3:00pm CLICK HERE for directions.
Stamina Run 4-8 Miles
Wednesday- Lone Peak park @ 3:00pm
Park in the parking lot near the skate park.
Thursday- Meet at JHS west side of tennis courts (by the group of 3 trees) @ 7:00am
Lifting in the weight room at 8
Friday- Meet at JHS west side of tennis courts (by the group of 3 trees) @ 3:00 pm
Saturday- Premier Invite @ Cottonwood Complex

Race 1 – JV Girls (6A,5A,4A,3A,2A,1A) 8 :15 am
Race 2 –Boys’ Varsity (6A,5A,4A,3A,2A,1A) 9:00 am
Race 3 –Girl’s Varsity (6A,5A,4A,3A,2A,1A) 9:45 am
Race 4 – Section #1 JV Boys (6A,5A,4A,3A,2A,1A) 10 :30 am This is our race
Race 5 – Section #2 JV Boys (6A,5A,4A,3A,2A,1A) 11:15 am
Section #2 JV Boys if needed will race at 11:15am.
